Counsellor-In-Training

Limited Spots Available
10-Day Camp | Ages 14 –16

The Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) program is a 10-day camp designed for campers aged 14 to 16. This program provides the opportunities to develop essential leadership skills and receive the necessary credentials to become a camp counsellor. This will include learning all the different facets of being a camp counsellor ranging from programming to conflict resolution.

Our dedicated CIT counsellor along with our camp leadership will be working closely with our CITs throughout the 10 days to help develop their own unique leadership style and build the confidence needed to lead a group of campers. This program will create the foundation needed for CITs to learn about programming, counsellor skills and strategies, building a resume and preparing for an interview, and ultimately prepare them to be a counsellor in the future. Along with the host of new skills they will acquire, CITs will become certified in a variety of different programs including the HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development, Health and Safety Training, Standard First Aid and CPR-C.

CITs will have the opportunity to interact with campers, help shape the camp environment, and ultimately co-lead our camper programming in their second week of camp.
